Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal

The Agency Technology and Information System Department leads the Oacis clinical information system replication project for the Montreal Area. The project implements a business/clinical transformation which relies on better quality and availability of the clinical data to increase efficiency in delivering healthcare services: the project replaces the paper based record with an electronic patient record. This large project involves 30 healthcare centers (estimated budget is around $130 M), change management, regional IT service operations, COTS integration, information security/privacy, interoperability and systems development.

  • Guided and tracked 5 healthcare centers as they were undertaking the installation and deployment which also included acting as an account manager regarding regionally operated IT services;
  • Led a team of clinical specialists and project managers from mental health institutions in producing a business impact analysis which obtained appraisal from the regional clinical committee.
  • Supervised and provided support to the prime contractor and healthcare centers project managers during the CIS implementation;
  • Delivered a strategy to approach the development of a primary care services support module.

CHI has ramped up over $300 M to support the implementation of the Dossier de santé du Québec (DSQ), a $565 M provincial initiative to deploy interoperable health records.

Sharepoint Implementation for Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec [January - June 2005]

Delivered the migration of the Lotus Notes intranet to a new Sharepoint platform as the Caisse’s enterprise portal. Planned, managed and controlled the execution of the project including the design, the construction, the acceptance and the migration in production of the enterprise portal. This high visibility project has been successfully delivered on time, on budget, with very positive feedback from the customer.
